1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create a Como AI account, we collect:

• Email address
• Display name (optional)
• Password (stored in hashed form — we never see your plaintext password)
• Account creation date and last login timestamp

Pet Profile Data

To provide personalized health and behavioral insights, we collect information about your pet that you voluntarily provide:

• Pet name, species, breed, age, and weight
• Health history notes you choose to enter
• Behavioral questionnaire responses
• Activity records and health milestones you log
• Pet profile photos you upload (optional)

Camera and Vision Data

Como's Live Vision feature uses your device camera to perform real-time biomechanical analysis. Camera frames are processed entirely on your device using our on-device neural models. Frames are not transmitted to our servers. No video or image data from Live Vision sessions is stored or uploaded unless you explicitly choose to save a session recording within the app.

Voice Data

When you use our Voice AI feature, audio is streamed in real time to our voice processing infrastructure to enable low-latency conversational response. Voice sessions are not archived or retained beyond the duration of the active session. We do not use your voice recordings to train our models without your explicit consent.

Usage and Analytics Data

We collect anonymized usage analytics to understand how Como is used and to improve the product:

• Feature interaction events (e.g., "user opened schedule tab" — not content of the interaction)
• App crash reports and performance diagnostics
• Session duration and frequency
• Device type, operating system version, and app version

This data is collected in aggregated, anonymized form and cannot be used to identify you individually.

Payment Information

Subscription payments are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We do not receive, store, or have access to your credit card or payment details. Revenue Cat is used to manage subscription status; it receives only anonymized subscription state information.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and personalize the Como AI service
• Generate behavioral insights and health analysis specific to your pet's profile
• Operate the Voice AI session with contextual awareness of your pet's data
• Generate and adapt your pet's daily activity schedule
• Send you important service notifications (e.g., account security, subscription status)
• Diagnose and fix technical problems
• Improve our AI models and product experience using aggregated, anonymized signals
• Comply with our legal obligations

We do not use your information to serve you third-party advertising. Como does not run ad networks and does not participate in advertising data ecosystems.

3. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data or your pet's data with third parties for their own commercial purposes. Period.

We share data only in the following limited circumstances:

• Service providers: Trusted infrastructure vendors (cloud hosting, authentication, analytics) who process data on our behalf under strict data processing agreements and are prohibited from using your data for their own purposes.
• Legal requirements: If required by applicable law, valid legal process, or to protect the rights and safety of Como, our users, or the public.
• Business transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data would transfer to the new entity — with the same privacy commitments described in this policy, and with advance notice to you.

Third-Party Services Used

• Firebase (Google): Authentication and database infrastructure
• RevenueCat: Subscription management (anonymized state)
• Apple/Google: Payment processing and app distribution

4. On-Device Processing

Como is architecturally committed to on-device AI where technically feasible:

• All camera-based skeletal keypoint detection runs locally on your device's neural processing unit
• Biomechanical analysis and pose estimation execute entirely on-device
• No camera frame data is transmitted to remote servers during Live Vision sessions

Your pet's behavioral insights are generated by combining on-device analysis results with your pet's profile data, which is stored securely in our backend. The raw visual data — what the camera actually sees — stays on your device.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data and pet profile data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data and pet profile data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal compliance purposes.

Voice session audio is not retained beyond the active session. Camera frame data is never retained. Aggregated analytics data (which cannot identify you) may be retained indefinitely for product improvement purposes.

6. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Correction: Request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete data
• Deletion: Request that we delete your account and associated personal data
• Portability: Request your pet profile data in a portable format
• Opt-out of analytics: You may disable analytics collection in the app Settings

7. Children's Privacy

Como AI is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately and we will delete it.

8. Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data:

• TLS encryption for all data in transit
• AES-256 encryption for data at rest
• Bcrypt hashing for passwords
• Role-based access controls limiting employee access to user data
• Regular security audits and penetration testing

9. International Data Transfers

Como AI operates globally. Your data may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence, including the United States and countries within the European Economic Area. We ensure that such transfers comply with applicable data protection laws through appropriate safeguards, including Standard Contractual Clauses where required.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you via the app or by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of Como after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
